Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook from his Harvard dorm room in 2004, expanding it from a campus network into the largest social platform in the world.
He led Facebook through its 2012 IPO and acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp, then rebranded the company to Meta in 2021 to signal a bet on the metaverse.
