Sundar Pichai joined Google in 2004, working on Chrome and Chrome OS before rising to lead nearly all of Google's core products.
He was named CEO of Google in 2015 and then CEO of parent company Alphabet in 2019, overseeing Search, Android, YouTube, and Cloud.
Pichai has steered Alphabet's response to the AI race through Gemini and Google DeepMind, positioning the company against OpenAI and Microsoft.
